This is called ices (if running under *nix), either ices 0.2.3 if using
icecast 1.x (downloadable from icecast.org) or ices 2 if using icecast2
(available from xiph CVS or www.xiph.org/~msmith/).

I hadn't considered aerodynamic heating melting the surface of the icicle,
but a layer of aerogel might take care of that. Anyway, I think that if
there were some melting, that there would be enough vapor pressure to keep ...

Thanks for your help. I had a good idea that Asterisk was implemented in a
way that would make it difficult. The fact that the ICE information in the
SDP is removed is a shame because phones with ICE are now becoming
available. I suspect the only way is to wait until sipX has more complete
